GETTING HERE

Getting to Chez Chartres has never been easier. 
BY CAR
By car from the northern ferry ports, head towards Rennes via St Lo and Avranches. From Rennes take the N137 to Nantes. From Nantes take the A83 to Fontenay le Comte leaving at junction 7.1. We are 10 minutes from that junction.

The A83 is a toll road but only about 9 Euros from Nantes to Fontenay.

BY PLANE
Nantes Airport and La Rochelle Airport are both about an hour away. Car hire is available from both airports.

BY FERRY
Brittany Ferries from the UK sail from  Portsmouth and Plymouth, to Caen, St Malo, Cherbourg or Le Havre. Often with pet friendly cabins. Contact us before you book your crossing for a discount code on your fare.

Cherbourg: 4 hours 25 mins
Le Havre: 4 hours 30 mins
